Shipping

• How can I ship my loved one's cremains?
  If you reside in the Phoenix Metro area, we can arrange to pick up the ashes of your loved one. Otherwise, the only way to ship your loved one to us is using the USPS. Other major shipping companies such as UPS and FedEx won't ship cremated remains if they know of the contents. They won't ship the cremation remains because they are "uninsurable".

• What if I don't want to ship the ashes of my loved one?
  If you reside in the Phoenix Metro area, arrangements can be made for Blue Sky Goodbye to pick up the ashes at no extra charge.

Scattering of your loved one

• If I am unable to witness the scattering, how can I be sure it was done?
  It is the policy of Blue Sky Goodbye to digitally record every dispersal so that the friends and family of the decedent can be a part of the scattering, this is included in the base price. Family and friends are welcome to be present and watch the scattering from the ground.


• How soon will the ashes be scattered after receiving them?
  We are currently only able to offer scatterings on Saturdays or Sundays. You are welcome to choose which particular Saturday or Sunday the scattering is done on. In the event we must postpone, we plan around your alternate date (depending on weather, etc.). We schedule upon receipt of the ashes and payment.


• At what altitude do you dispense the ashes?
  After exiting the aircraft at 13,000 feet, your loved one will be set free at around 11,000 feet in the beautiful, blue Arizona skies.


• Are there regulations governing aerial ash scattering?
  In Arizona there are no regulations that prevent us from aerial scattering.


• Will you scatter cremated pets?
  Absolutely! Being animal lovers ourselves, you can trust that your pet will be treated with the utmost respect. Click here for more information.
